Tikuna women
Tikuna women are responsible for the care and
feeding of their families. Each family has its own farm
where corn, cassava, tomato, beans, wheat, chili and
plantain are grown; Usually, the men prepare the land
by burning plants that serve as compost, thus ensuring
better preparation of the land for future plants and
subsequently, the women are in charge of cultivating
and collecting them.
