Kayap o women






                Kayapó women are responsible for feeding the family, which is why they hunt,
                grow and collect food for consumption. They are also responsible for the
                education of children during their early years.

                Additionally they are artisans, that spin cotton to create bands and ropes, some
                of their crafts are made from seeds and are mainly used to adorn their bodies.

                Mothers and grandmothers are usually in charge of decorating the body of their
                families, creating paintings and patterns for each occasion.
